Fabrice Grinda & Alec Oxenford
In March 2006, Fabrice Grinda and Alec Oxenford co-founded OLX with the goal of becoming the largest free classified advertising website in the world.
In 2010, the site was acquired by the South African group Naspers,with Grinda remaining CEO until 2013.
OLX became the largest classified ad website in India, Pakistan, Brazil, Portugal, Poland and Ukraine.
While he was still CEO, OLX had a presence in more than 90 countries, in 50 languages, with over 150 million unique visitors per month.
Fabrice Grinda
Grinda was born(3 August 1974) in Boulogne Billancourt in France and grew up in Nice, where he graduated high school C Massena in 1992.
He left France to attend Princeton University and graduated summa cum laude in 1996.
He was awarded the Halbert White '72 prize for most distinguished economics student and the Wolf Balleisen memorial prize for best economics thesis.
Grinda created Princeton International Computers, exporting high-end computer equipment from the U.S. to Europe.
He then worked as a consultant for McKinsey from 1996 to 1998 before returning to France where he co-founded the company Aucland.
Alec Oxenford
Mr. Alec Oxenford is a Co-Founder of Ambatana Inc. and OLX, Inc. and serves as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Oxenford served as Chief Executive Officer at Deremate.com and Deremate.Com De Argentina S.A.
He led the launch of Deremate.com in Latin America. Previously, Mr. Oxenford worked for the Boston Consulting Group in Madrid and Buenos Aires on projects in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Mexico, and Venezuela.
He has experience in consumer goods, retail, financial services, electronic commerce, advertising, entertainment, strategy, and process re-engineering.
He has also worked at the Bemberg Group Human Resources department.
He serves as a Director of Sonico.
Mr. Oxenford holds a BA in Business Administration from Universidad Católica, Argentina and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
